FAQ Body

In order to access the PLCScotch Wi-Fi from an Android device, please follow the steps below:

  1. Open Settings from your device and select Wi-Fi.
  2. Choose PLCScotch from the Wi-Fi menu and login using your regular PLCScotch User ID and Password (ie. the same credentials you use to login into your laptop).
  3. Select CA Certificate, tap once, and then tap Don't Validate.
(If it asks for EAP Method, select PEAP and for Phase 2, select None)

Please Note: From December 2020 due to a security update, phones running Android 11 natively, such as the Google Pixel, will no longer allow the selection of "Don't Validate" for CA Certificate and will not allow connection to PLCScotch WiFi. The Tech Centre is continuing to work on a solution for this.
